On my softsyn (LMMS), I have different patch (instrument) on different MIDI channels. My MIDI controller only uses channel 1. So I am writing a simple PD patch to send the lower pitch notes to one channel (e.g. bass guitar) and the higher pitch notes to another channel (e.g. piano) effectively splitting the keyboard.

I know I need some kind of on/off switch with range test. But I am not sure how this is done is PD as I am pretty new to PD.
