I want to jump to different parts of a movie with a midi que, but there is a disturbing latency when i do this. How should you do to get the latency as low ass possible.
Is the movie streamed from the harddisk or is it read from the RAM? If it is streamed from the harddisk maby changing to a SSD disk would do the trick?

    Hi!

I wonder how do get the latency as low as possible when triggering a GEM movie with midi notes from logic. When I increase the audio latency in PD the latency goes down for the movie but it still to long. Now i have the latency set to 200 ms. Why is the audio buffer size affectings the latency for the movie?

If I could pre buffer (decode the bit stream and load it into the framebuffer) the frames for the first frame in every scene would solve it. Any one knowif its possible to do this. Maby i have to program it directly in openGL.
I would be very thankful for answers or tips for further reading.
    /Erik
