    Hi everyone,

I'd like to run William Brent's bark~ external in Pd-extended on my BeagleBone Black.
He provides Pd objects for Windows and OS X on the site, as well as the source code.

Do I have to build it separately for armhf Debian to make this work for my BBB? If so, what are the steps for doing that? His source zip contains a header, a c file, a help file, a demo .wav, and a Makefile.

    Thank you!

    Hello everyone,

I am currently writing a Pd port of an Arduino-Max/MSP program, and in trying to find a suitable replacement for Max's "itoa" I've been trying to get features such as "bytes2any" from the moocow/pdstring stuff to work. However I don't understand enough about how externals are loaded into Pd to understand why I cannot just instantiate "bytes2any" in my Pd file running Pd-extended.

I'm on OS X 10.8.5 Mountain Lion. If I go into the Package Contents of Pd-extended 0.43.4, I can go to the "moocow" folder of the "extras" folder and click on the help file for any of these objects, and when Pd-extended launches it shows that it loaded pdstring etc. fine. The object has a solid box around it. But yet if I just open Pd-extended from any other means and try to call the same object, the library is not loaded and the object it not recognized.

I've seen some things about typing flags such as -load [library name]... is this done in the Tcl console? I'm still very new to Pd and so I still have very little knowledge of its finite differences with Max, other than what objects are not present that must have equivalents made.

    Thanks!
