I've been looking up in the forum, but couldn't find anyone who's having my same problem:
I simply don't have any sound from Pure Data running on linnux 8.10

I was following this very simple tutorial
http://www.pd-tutorial.com/english/ch02.html#chapt2.1.1

and couldn't hear anything.

can anybody drive me to some driver / packet download?
