I just got a Silicon Graphic fuel computer and would like to use it to visualize audio using PureData and GEM.

After all GEM was developed on IRIX.

But my question now is what is the latest version of PureData and GEM that is known to compile and run OK on IRIX?

Would love to get it up and running.

Hi all!

I have just built my Monome 40h, got serial-pyio to work ok.

Now I only nead to get PureData to be able to talk to my monome, but how????

When I try to open patches with monome comunication over open sound I got errors like below.

prepend send /box/led
... couldn't create
sendOSC
... couldn't create
OSCroute /box
... couldn't create
OSCroute /press
... couldn't create
dumpOSC 8085
... couldn't create
prepend send /box/intensity
... couldn't create

It looks like some objects are missing.

I have built pd from souce 0.41.4

I have also tryed to install every exteded-pd version but there have always been some dependensies missing.

How do I get thous objects to work?

Would be great to be able to use Pd.

I am now running the new "serial-pyio-0.3.1rc1".

It works really great, like the GUI a lot, makes it so much easier to work with.

I managed to find a pd-extended verson at http://at.or.at/hans/pd/installers.html

Pd-0.40.3-extended-rc1-ubuntu-hardy-i386.deb

That I could install on my UBUNTU 8.04 system without problem.

Then I had to add /usr/lib/pd/extra/oscx under "path" in "File" meny.

I also added the cyclone folder to get the prepend object to work.
