    Dear all,

    this is my first post and I hope its not too much to ask.

    Im new to .pd but have been through many tutorials and discovered/playing around with the many patches that are out there.

    Im basically trying to work out a way to create an application that allows a live input (voice) to draw a coloured image according to the amplitude (as the vertical control) and pitch (as the horizontal control).

    Just like mapping a score as in this article:
    http://crca.ucsd.edu/~msp/Publications/icmc02.pdf

    there is a javascript greyscale similar to the idea I speak of here
    http://www.zefrank.com/v_draw_beta/index3.html

    I have also been investigating the use of these .pd's trying to find a way to gain this effect;

    C::NTR::L by Marco Donnarumma
    (particularily editing colour with pitch, i think his colour modules great)

    and

    the voicedrawer.pd http://adrjork.altervista.org/puredatatutorials/VoiceDrawer_081021.pd.zip
    by adrjork
    essentially registering a wave form to an inputed sound.

    Please can someone point me in the right direction, i cant imagine someone hasnt done it before but id be really intrigued and very grateful to know how.

    Comments and help greatly appreciated

    Anyone?

    I have attached my attempt, ive tried implementing many patches to make this work with no success.

    I just want to draw coloured lines or shapes according to volume and pitch. Any ideas would be fantastic.

    Cheers.
