I downloaded the PD version pd-0.37.4.dmg from the url http://puredata.info/Members/hans/downloads/installers/ but after dragging the Pd.app icon of the image file into my applications folder it just opens the terminal when cklicking the icon. I'm running Mac OSX 10.3.5. Has anybody out there an idea how to solve this problem or knows another version that works well under OSX?

you just dragged the app icon?

try putting the icon back where it came from and make an alias for your applications folder. does that work?

pd is a bit picky about where all the components are placed, and it's best not to go moving anythign from the default location.

i'm using exactly the same os and exactly the same distribution and it works fine for me....but i had a few troubles at first to get it all going.

i ended up just un-installing and re-installing a few times till i got it right.

the readme files should also be followed absolutely to the letter.

sourceforge.net/projects/pure-data/ make sure you download the correct version for os x. The terminal will load then an app called wish will load which is the beta 4 versioon of PD.
I have brand new version of OSX and it works fine.
