When I open up my windows-made patches in my fresh install of kubuntu(Feisty) all the fonts are way too big, so my GUI objects are out of whack. Anyone experienced this before?

Fake Edit: In fact, I'm having the same problem with the built-in docs! I'm using PD 0.39.2

I think you're seeing an old problem hat Hans and others have recently put a lot of work into sorting out so that fonts are uniform across platforms. Rather than correct them all by hand or with a script it might be best to upgrade to past 0.4.

This is just a guess btw.

That seems to have fixed it, the fonts in 40.2 are slightly bigger but at least they're consistent.

NOW all I have to deal with is the extreme headache of getting MIDI to work -- just trying to find the drivers for my USB-MIDI interface has proven unsuccessful so far
