How to sync audio with graphics?

Hi and welcome to this forum,
Here are a couple of advices concerning your two posts (this and the other one named "How to sync audio with visual graphics?"):
- please do not double post your question into several subforums. Simply choose the most appropriate subforum and put your question there. When in doubt, the "technical issues" is where most of the questions concerning Pd are normally posted.
- try to be more specific about what you want. Sync graphics and audio can be interpreted in several ways and there are tons of methods of generating audio with image and vice-versa in Pd. Write about your goal so people can advice you better.
Take care,

@gsagostinho Sorry and thanks Gilberto!
I have created a visual patch already with particles. I want the particles to change direction or colour when the beat changes to the audio/song and I'm not sure how to do this. Any advice?

Sorry and thanks Gilberto!
No problems!

Ok, so here are some ideas. You will probably need some sort of beat or tempo detector. If the song is in MIDI format, you can try to use [beat], if it's an audio signal you can try using [bonk~], although I am not too sure how it will perform in a complex song. You can read a bit about it here: http://obiwannabe.co.uk/html/music/bonker/bonker.html
There is also the Aubio library, but I never used it myself. The description seem to be great for what you are looking for though: https://puredata.info/downloads/aubio
Cheers!
