I have an issue

I have 2 streams of numbers that will be activated more or less at the same time.

i want one number to always come out the output before the other.

I thought about using a delay but it outputs a bang, and i want it to output the street of numbers.
I hope what I'm saying makes sense

Hi,

If you want to delay information, use [pipe]. But if you simply wants to assure that one number arrives earlier than the other, regardless of the time difference, then why not use a [trigger]?

@gsagostinho Hi thanks the Pipe is Good enough because the 2 streams are coming in at the same time.
but about the trigger.....

the trigger only has one inlet and if i have 2 streams of numbers going in, how will that work?

Sorry, it totally slipped my mind you are dealing with 2 streams, indeed [trigger] won't work here.

Also, the following trick may be useful for you:

You can use the [pack] object to receive and keep floats coming, but as long as you don't send anything to its hot inlet, nothing will be output. Then you can simply bang it and use [unpack] to retrieve that information in order (as [unpack] always output from right to the left).

What I mean is: the order you click on [1( and [2( above [pack] does not matter, because they will be packed into an ordered list according to the inlets they are connected, and then unpacked in order. Does this make sense?
