I've had an issue where I can't work out how to resize my array for multiple bits of data.
Essentially I want to be able to read in multiple large data sets (independently) and of course the array needs to resize appropriately for that. I've tried tons of methods (soundfiler, textfile etc) but can't seem to crack it! I'm sure I'm simply missing something basic
Ill put a link below to some sample data and my current attempts (sorry if they're a touch messy or broken, I hit the point of trying too many things I think!)

Hi @samalexhall. I suggest that you upload a single clean patch directly to this site, not many different files at some other site.

You may find that it is hard to get a good answer if don't make a good precise question. How would somebody answer to you? According to the first file, the second file, the third file? They are all different, and messy (as you said).

You should simplify the task to those who want to help you, I'm sure you can do it. A single neat file will increase the chances of getting some useful answer.

Try having a look on this patch I prepared for you, I use [msgfile] and I think it is doing what you are looking for:

patch.pd
Sample.txt

I also had to modify your Samples.txt file, because [msgfile] needs a semicolon ; separating every single value.

PS: please ignore that comment by [rewind( about searching, I just adapted this patch for you from another patch of mine that uses [msgfile] to search through a .txt file. Nevertheless, it is always necessary to rewind the file after reading it (think of it as if the cursor goes to the last position of the file).
