Did you already find a proper bluetooth adapter that works with the Wii remote? The DBT-122 hardware version C1 doesn't work, I should return it to the store and purchase a different one. (I don't know about using it with OS X, though)
yes it works, there is a max msp object
http://www.iamas.ac.jp/~aka/max/#aka_wiiremote
whit a tutorial for setuping (pairing) and faq, but there is not a ilok reset for max 4.6 (crack) also i want to try pd
THERE IS ANY OBJECT TO CONNECT A WII REMOTE INTO PURE DATA??
there is other forum or a mail list (digest) around?
You can try the [hid] object (it is included in the standard pd-extended package). It allows pd to receive the data stream from USB and other devices (bluetooth, and an apple macbook's IR remote control as I recently found out). You then have to aptly route and sieve the incoming stream.
hey,
i have the wiimote opening in hidin but i cant get any signals from it! i attached a print to the bottom of hid and im getting absolutely nothing. also it says it has 196 inputs, but i only count 11 buttons and 3 axis... 14 not 196... wtf?
anyways, point is, how do i get this to work?! i suspect its a problem with the controller... ie: im not turning it on or some shit, but i synced it and it shows up in bluetooth devices and i checked the hid box and and then it just doesnt work in hidin.
help!
Ei autogusto, you have to use osculator to get values from the wii, and then use them as MIDI or OSC, works fine, i'm using it with Mac OS 10.5.
you can use this instead:
http://code.google.com/p/musiccontroller/downloads/list
It's open source and it sends midi and OSC messages.
Hope this helps.
Anyway, is there a pd object for the wiimote yet?
This is a good one for GNU/Linux:

There is one called aka.wiiremote for Pd on Mac OS X, its a port of the Max/MSP object. It only kind of works, but it wouldn't take too much work to get it going. I think DarwiinRemote is probably a better bet tho.

IR remote control? Why I searched for some info on macbook's IR sensor but don't find proper documentation. Could you please describe how did you manage to get hid reading from that port?
I instantly thought about using old tv remote controllers and see what happens. That'd be cool
Oops! Looks like something went wrong!
