I have a metronome patch where I have mapped MIDI keys to change BPM. A rotary knob sets the tempo and two buttons increase/decrease the tempo by specific interval (in this case, +/- 1 BPM). It took me a while to achieve this solution and I was just wondering if anyone else had more elegant ideas.

It feels pretty messy.

The number box on the right sets the value. The bang outputs the value. If you send a number to the left [trigger] object it will add it to the value and output it.

I didn't realize [+ ] could take a negative as a float! That's a good simplification, but the only problem is the number box doesn't directly influence the output. I came up with this after looking at your design.

Beautiful! I realized both you guys wired your [+ ] and [int] the same, whereas I couldn't get past the day 1 counter paradigm. Thanks for the input.
