I've got a big problem. The folders that I made in the PD folder before had a lock on them when accessed through PD. I could open the folder and files inside it no problem, but for some reason, they weren't viewable in Windows Explorer. Now, I can't see them through PD or Windows. I have "View Hidden Folders" checked, all permissions set to enable everything, still can't get to my files. Does any one have any idea what happened?

I would do some searches to see if they are still there. Maybe you could get to them through search results?

My only suggestion would be to run a non-Windows OS for a moment... if you download a Linux live CD (or USB drive), you can run Linux without installing it. I'm pretty sure you could look at the entirety of your hard drive from there. That way, you could at least see if you can find your missing .pd files, perhaps rename & copy them to somewhere else.

Welp, did a bunch of looking around my machine and the Internet, and learned how W7 handles stuff. Turns out that where I thought I saved my files was a kind of shortcut folder that existed somewhere else in appdata. The pd folder in appdata got cleared out for some reason, so those files are now gone forever. Super bummed, but luckily I can kind of remember how to make them again, and one work in progress is a video tutorial, so I can rewatch the videos and remake that one easy enough.

Let that be a lesson to myself and others, I guess!
