Trying to build a pd patch that can recognize 6 colors from a table plotted on a plane - 8.5x11 sheet of paper most likely. *

  • Red
  • Green
  • Blue
  • Yellow
  • White
  • Orange
All from a plane that is recognized by the webcam via gemwin, gemhead and pix_video. Me and a friend built a patch that can take webcam data and make random synth noises out of the data feeding from the webcam, but when we view the webcam it is in grey scale only. Even though it is interpreting rgb values anyway. I would like a way for pd to look at a plane (even if it has to be flat right in front of it, like a piece of paper with squares or color printed in them).

I would very much like the patch to tell me in a matrix like an html table what colors exist in each cell of the table. This way I can sort out which squares are which colors later in a web based application or possibly an objective-c application.

Much thanks in advance to whomever can point me into the right direction.webcamnoise.pd
