hi all,
i have built a lot of patches in pure data, and now id like to control\play them with a tablet pc.. after some time, i finally realized that using all fingers would be more fun than limiting yourself to just your mouse..ive built a lot of effect units and sequencers and would really like to get my fingertips involved.
the problem is, i have zero idea of communication between touchscreens and pure data..
what are your experiences and what could you recommend?
how would i set up a tablet pc to be able to communicate with pure data?
are open sound control and/or touchosc what i am looking for?
this is a completely new world for me, so all searches ive conducted actually left me more confused than enlightened..
hope you can help, any words appreciated!
regards

Ultranoob wants to use pd with tablet pc

For the quickest solution, try http://droidparty.net/
Or maybe try https://github.com/libpd/pd-for-android -
i think dandelion king (funny name btw) wants to run pd on one computer and use another as controller surface.
touchOSC certainly works on ipad, but have a google to see if it will work with your device. My feeling is that it will.

TouchOSC works on Android and there is also TouchDAW (free Android app).
Give 'em a try. -
thanks for all your help!
looks like i underestimated this topic a little..
well, thanks to your help, i can now do some refined research -
I also am thinking about putting my hands on a tablet to run PD.
Which one would you recommend? The Galaxy Tab seems pretty enjoyable, but I am ready to go for a cheaper one if it suits the needs!Cheers
