I can read from an array using expr, but I am having problems trying to set a value in one of my arrays using the expression object. Trying to use the following gives me a syntax error:

expr if (arrayName [0] != 13, arrayName [1] = 7, arrayName [1] =

Can this even be done?

I don't believe the assignment operator can be used in [expr]. The output of expressions are just assigned to outlets instead.

You could just do it like this:

[expr if(arrayName[0] != 13, 7, ]
|
[$1 1(
|
[tabwrite arrayName]
