I am trying to use images with transparencies ( I only want the shape of the object not the rectangle). These images have the png format and I am not able to open them (I'm using a PC) and in jpg format I loose all tranparencies. I need that kind of image with the shape of the object for an installation for kids.

What message do you get in the Pd window when attempting to open the image? If you are able to open it, you'll need to ensure that you are in the rgba colorspace.

Thanks. I have a problem opening the png format (in pure data window it says invalid listing). For jpg files I do not have transparencies.
