so I loaded the GrIPD lib
pointed Pd-extended to it in my ~/pd-externals dir
opened the gripd exampled patch
clicked on [open ../gripd/examples/gripd.gpd]

and got the following message in the Pd window:

I opened port 3490 in my firewall

so what am I doing wrong here?
