I'm a full on beginner with PD but I'm in the middle of doing a patch that involves kinect and synapse. If anyone here has experimented with these before any help would be appreciated, I'm getting very confused by it all and I have a college project due in a few days.

Basically you need to get OSC message from synapse to pd. Before that you need to send a message to synapse in order to Synapse send you something:

hey! is there some kind of conversion/character encoding needet when sending data over udp? when i bang anything like [send /righthand_trackjointpos 1] into a [netsend 1] connected to the right port, synapse crashes.

Hi rzprk, I have the same problem as you. I guess I coded the same patch as you, when I send the message to Synapse, it crashes. Did you solve the problem ?

I have been using Max/Msp and that worked perfectly. I just can't have it working on Pd
