Hi, I was wondering how following problem could be handled:

I have a couple of toggle buttons which I gave following send and receive symbol properties:
f1_snd/ f1_rcv, f2_snd/ f2_rcv, f3_snd/ f3_rcv and so on...
Now, I would like to change, let's say the background color of these toggle buttons, which means that I would send messages like this: f1_rcv color 16; f2_rcv color 16; f3_rcv color 16

Now how can I do to address the different symbols f1, f2, f3 without having to create a message for every item? something like a message with a variable symbol name f$_rcv color 16 ?

I hope this is somehow understandable, and that somebody can give me a clue.

What might help here is [makefilename], it can substitute a numerical sequence into a symbol, which you can then use to build your message.
