hello... first post from a long time max user. i'm trying to put my ailing ibook g4 to use, and installed mintppc linux on it. so far, everything is working well. i managed to install pd-vanilla using apt-get install puredata, and it works. i haven't done any heavy patching yet, but i can get an [osc~] to make sound through the built-in audio out.

but my problem is this: for some reason, when i create a new patcher window, the menu bar/window title bar disappears off the top of the screen. can anyone think why? is there anything i can tweak to change it? (see screenshot).

How is your screen display configured? Make sure it is configured to fit the dimensions of your screen. I've had issues with stuff running off screens before when I have used an external monitor to connect to my laptop as both feature different resolutions.
