I have this problem:

I'm making a patch for the novation launchpad (a grid controller) that use midi note and have output note and input for light on.

I want to use with the seq24 sequencer for mute pattern, i try a first method for save state of the buttons....and woks but:

When i made a reset of the controller or when load some value or when puredata load the patch i have to click on the controller 3 times per button to light it on and then work, since another reset, data load....

There's a way to avoid this ? maybe i wrong to write patch...or make some startups....

ok, here the patch....don't look at the save/load part, the problem i have is in the notein/noteout for the launchpad.

you especially need to start using the [trigger] object to force the correct execution order in your patches.

ok, thanks...i try to remake it....sorry but i'm very noob and i try things that are difficult for my level.

the main thing to do, is make sure you always only take ONE cable from each outlet of an object.

so, in your subpatches where you have multiple cables from [inlet], you should take just ONE cable from inlet to [t b a] or something like that.

You really need to understand how [trigger] ( [t ] ) works. It is vital to almost every pd patch you will do. Check its help file as well.

you're more than welcome to ask questions about stuff you can't understand after doing all that. Good luck!

...yes, i think now it's more clear, i rewrite the midi input and output and for now i think that my problem is solved, thanks.

Here my work, i try to recreate the lack of midicontrol support for seq24,, it's a pitty because it'a a wonderful sequencer and an unique way to play pattern, so for use it with my lauchpad i made this first prototipe.....i't a mess of wire inside, i've to write more clear but for now works....
