Is GEM actually being used a lot to do custom synth gui's ? Or anything else ? I hardly find examples of PD synth patches using GEM for GUI.

i think the general problem is that if you go to all that trouble, you'll still have to be running PD to get the gui up and going.

if PD could, for example, run a GEM window as the GUI on a smart phone screen, then i think you'd suddenly see a heap of great examples. As far as i know, this isn't possible yet; and i have no idea how impossible a task it would be to see through. Would be good though, yeah?

would be flippin' awesome in fact, anyone know what would be stopping someone, say me, with a jailbroken phone, from running a gem window in it?
