I've been using PD for about a week, I find it amazing and really powerful.

I'm a musician and composer and sound engineer, and unfortunately I live in Italy.

I'm using PD mostly to create generative music to be processed with Live or other software. I work a lot with acoustic sources.

so, you right click, and save the file?

i just did that and it works fine. It sounds like your computer or browser is set up in a way that right click is not working as it should.

hang on...you downloaded it...so you should have a patch on your computer now called guitar_rack.pd

If you have that, then all you need to do is open that file with pd. Like, just take the file and drag it on top of the pd icon. Or open pd first, and use the 'open' command from the taskbar.

Downloaded the patch on my net book running chrome in Zorin distro and patch downloaded fine for some reason my mac running snow leopard can not do it?

a mac running snow leopard is what i use. no problem.

to clarify, when you're on the mac, are you able to actually download the guitar_rack.pd file to your desktop or whatever?

do other pd files work on that mac?

yes I have manage to download PD and other patches for it for some reason that one does not sem to want to come down nicely like the others have.
It works fine as my Mac is on a network with the linux machine and my HP Media Smart server which is windows based. If i figure out what is happening I'll let you know but my mouse settings etc are all fairly vanilla out of the OSX tin and I simply do not have the expertise at my disposal to do anything outside the box.

To add insult to injury I just got the thing to download, I think it may have been my secondary mouse control which was off that said all is well that ends well.
