i try to support a band with some loopbased playback and im not really sure
if my ideas are technically "good" (wtf)
im playing four loops synchronous which is no problem. i can do some
timestretching/stopping in sync by using metros+gates...but...
when it comes to different parts in a song ....lets say... prechorus => chorus
because its not free jazz (unfortunally:) i need hard timing....and some sort
of oversight....

problems: i have really no good idea for a master clock....(attached mine)
i have no clue about useful visual representations in pd

(i dont want abl....li.. for pure data....)

if anybody has experience with this kind of sequencing PLZ help : )

PS: has someone ever seen smth like the [waveform~] obj. for pd???

why dont you want something like live for pd? i think the 'beatloop-concept' of live
would work pretty well for the problem as far as i have understood it.
you could use a counter for 1/16 or even more finegraind steps, and sync all
beatslicers to this clock. (you could also use phasevocoders instead for
better quality with non-percussive material)
switching the sample-tables exactly on the beat should be not that hard.
or maybe playing all loops at once synced to the counter, and switching
(or xfading) only their outputs. (thats what i am doing most of the time)
