This might sound like a stupid question, but can you somehow install PD on iPad and use it like regular PD to build patches?

I've seen a couple of posts on forums by people saying they have done it using something called libpd.

Is this actual PD on iPad or a way of using regular PD to build apps that run in iOS?

libpd allows you embed vanilla pd on a greater variety of devices. See here:

If you wanted to be able to create patches say for the iPad, you'll probably have to develop an interface in Cocoa or something.

The Rj Voyager is an iPad app that uses libpd as the audio engine and has a native interface on top to control it.

Hi, would anyone be able to explain to me how you install it on the ipad? im having a nightmare with it, im quite a newb but without pd on my pad its just a kindle to me.
I have unarchiver and downloaded the master as tar.gz in the source tree on gitorious. No idea what to do with it now or whether i'm even on the right track?!

any pointers would be greatly appreciated
