I wondered how it is possible to get the code for a color.

I mean when you put 13 in a message and send it to canvas, it turns red. But how can I do the opposite operation : choose a color from a color-wheel (or a grid or anything) and deduce the code I'm supposed to send ?

right click a slider -> help -> open pd edit

There's [colorpanel] in hcs. You can take the output from that, multiply each RGB value by 255, and send it into a copy of the subpatch slur mentioned.
