ps: I only know effects from pd examples that makes me newbe I think

try different combinations of different effects; the beauty of pd is you can try almost anything. all the work i've done started by going through the help/tutorials for the gem effects and then mixing and matching from there.
save a copy of the help file for an effect you like and go to town on it; just play around, try patching things differently, eventually you might find a cool use for an effect that nobody's tried yet.
additionally you could look into pdp and pidip, which are some additional plugins for video.
