I found two free apps on the android market :

fingerplay : that enables you to use launchpad, sliders, and x-y array controlls on your phone to control stuffs in pd

andOSC : that will send via OSC to get accelerometer and orientation data from the phone plus X-Y touch information from the screen.

Just came across this and thought I might as well throw my own app into the mix. Its called androidome and is a monome emulator for android. i'm sure there are a few monomers on this forum who use monomes with pd so it might be of interest...

I used for a long time for playing some musical works and for Presentations an open source remote control application (with Open sound control) for iPod touch/iPhone (2.2.1), called OSCRemote by Leo van der Veen. http://nr37.nl/OSCRemote/

Unfortunately, this application was removed from the iTunes store and I don’t know if it comes again.

Do you know an application with the same potential (faders, switches, xy, accelerometer, buttons) to android?

Free and definitely the best I've ever used. Really needs a tablet.
Note that it's *not* general-purpose - it's a monome/arc emulator. It's possible that the developer might be willing to make the Android source available; he seems like a nice guy.
It does OSC over TCP. TCP -> UDP requires a lightweight Java server on a PC/Mac host.
The server is source-available (don't know if he takes patches, so I can't call it "open-source"), from github.
Works brilliantly with MAX via TCP -> UDP; includes a Pd test patch for straight TCP (I haven't tested it).
It's the only anything I've found which successfully emulates the arcs.
It can "overheat" if you've got a lot of data going back and forth, but in general it works quite well. I used it to do a piece with stretta's grainstorm running in MAX (shameless plug) .
