I know it's a long shot, but.....

Has anyone tried this combo to get a PureData patch to work as a ProTools plugin?

There was a Pd VST thing around, but I never personally tried it. And ProTools doesn't support VST's natively. Best bet for doing this, if you aren't married to ProTools (many people are) is to use Ardour2 or really anything other than ProTools with Jack to route a buss out to Pd and then bring it back to your DAW.
