Hi,

I try to import a simple text file into a table objet and want it to be resized automaticaly in X and Y range. The resize function is only working for X range...and I don't want the table to be between -1 to 1 because I am not using it for audio purpose.

Is there a way to do it?

i afraid, there's no function for resizing the y scale of an array on the fly (afaik). do you want the array as a display for the values? or does it only work as a buffer? the array will store the values below -1 and above 1 too, so if you just want it to be a buffer, there's no need to adjust the y scale.

How are you loading the textfile? Your not using [soundfiler], are you? If you use something like the following message, it shouldn't scale the Y value:

[; array1 read test.txt(

At least I think so. I haven't actually done this in a while :-S.

Edit: or are you talking about visually resizing it? You can adjust the visual boundaries using:

[; array1 bounds <xmin> <ymin> <xmax> <ymax>(

You'd probably have to read through the array after loading the textfile to get the highest y value.

Nice! That's what I was looking for, resizing the graphic part while using the read message.

[Soundfiler] could be interesting because it has the -resize flag, but it doesn't handle text file...does it?
