Ok, I am trying to make a BOSS rc-20, Reason, and a Casio fz-20m live in harmony; front-ended by myself. Of course, the perfoect studio stabalizer in this situation is Pure-Data.
I decided I need the rc-20, which is a pretty limited looper pedal, to send midi sync. So, I decided to 'tap' the LED which indicates the tempo, and feed this into an audio amp... Viola! Four on the floor and an audible 'blip.' naturally I next turned to pd and built a patch--
I fed the audio into bonk~ and sent the bangs to this little guy;

Midiout
Along with Appropriate messages for Remote control.
I then sent the sync to Reason via the MidiPipe app (with virtual I/O)
The prblem is, it didn't work. Reason recieves the start/stop messages, but the tempo of playback fluctuates randomly, even when I trigger the message with metro.
is this the easiest/best, or even possible way to do What I want to do?
your help is greatly appreciated.

Pd meets hardware hack, for total performance domi

Obviously, you need a midi timecode or a midiclock
It would be possible to build the corresponding messages of the midiclock and send it to reason with pure data.
