Is there a way to record sound and image together and write them to one file.
I'm using "pix_record" to record a webcam image and would like to record also the sound.

No you have to use [writesf~] for the sound and then assemble sound n video in mencoder eg.

Is there a way to trigger mencoder from inside Puredata to do this? I know Max/MSP has an object to communicate with shell - equivalent in Puredata?
