new to pd. Im so interested so far. Im hoping to be able to program drums and synths.
But my Xp keeps crashing when i trigger a basic sine wave in the tuorials. Is this fixable?
Also, how do you se up my midi controller so i can play. So far it recognises it but i cant play??

Hi Rory,

Not that I'm very knowledgeable in these matters, but..

1. I'm on XP too, and yes, there are some things in Pd that do not agree with it. In fact, there are alerts/warnings somewhere about this

2. in regard to your controller, once it is recognized, you need to give it something to play. You could for example variously connect the signals coming in to some of the example patches, via [notein] and [ctrlin]
