I'd like to ask Pd to, for example, "create 200 [osc~ $i] where $i=30, then for each $i=$i+10".

Is it time for me to move on to SuperCollider?

There's some strange old ported Max object(?) that sort of does this, but I haven't quite figured it out. The help file is a bit cryptic.

Can anybody help me out?

"dynamic patching" is possibly using "internal messages" - search for those phrases for more information....

a simple example is attached (lacks comments/explanation, though)

use it like: [replicate count objname arg2 arg3 arg4 ...]

count is the number of [objname id arg2 arg3 arg4 ...] to create, where id is from 0 to count-1.

note: no inlets/outlets, so use the non-local connection mechanisms to communicate with the outside
