Hi there,

I want to receive from & send to arduino, from within pure data.
I burned Firmata (both standard_firmata & standard_firmata_334)
to the Arduino ( i tried both Diecimilia & Nano) and used
pduino (0.4beta0 arduino-test.pd )
But it doesn't seem to work :
i can't see any analog nor digital input/output.
I tried several times but without succes.

Receiving from the Arduino (without sending to) works perfectly using SimpleMessageSystem & arduino2pd , but now i'd like to send & receive from within 1 patch.

Any suggestions ?
( don't know if it has got something to do with it , but when using firmata/pduino
pd gives an "moocow/any2string... couldn't create" error message
oh , & i'm on intel mac using pd extended 0.39.3 )

Any help would be veryvery welcome,

Have you tried with the arduino-test.pd patch? Is your port assigned correctly?

Yes , I'm using the arduino_test.pd patch and i've tried changing the serial ports inside the patch , but none of them does the job damn

have you set the I/O port (not the serial port) correctly? mine's working, and i'm using intel mac with pd-extended 0.39-3 just like you. Oh, do you have the FTDI USB Serial driver? I'm using it. It might be useful...

i digged out this old thread just in case someone else has this problem in future:
replace EVERY [moocow/any2string] object with [flatspace/any2string] objects. you can search these objects in the patch over the menu->edit->find.

this problem seems to occur only in windows though.
