Must have choppd that beat a half a million times (and I'm scarcely joking - cos I lived in Bristol when the jungle scene was going strong) It's not just the timing that's interesting, its the tones. Each snare and bass in bars 3 and 4 (where the tunraround happens) has a different timbre, so you can stitch them together in almost endless permuatations. Gotta say I'm tired of hearing it now though.

As for the golden ratio thing, I've cut enough breakbeats to see that there are *significant* errors in the line up of those markers. Maybe the author isn't a junglist or doesn't appreciate the very fine nuance of cutting swung out beats, but for me the errors are too large for comfort. If it came out at *exactly* golden ratio then I might buy it some more, but I'm not sure it isn't just a happy coincidence that if you cut it a certain way you *nearly* get Phi ratios. Any 3 + 7 beat with the right swing would end up close to those marks, wouldn't it?
