Hello,

I'm struggling to install the helios external library (https://github.com/timredfern/pd_helios) in Purr-Data on a mac running 10.15.6
I think I managed to build the library (it created a darwin file) and i moved the whole folder to

/Applications/Pd-l2ork.app/Contents/Resources/app.nw/extra/pd_helios

My startup preferences have that same path in the search path window and "helios" in the libraries one. but when i open Purr-Data i get "helios: can't load library"
What obvious thing am i missing? I have not used Pd in years...

I also tried copying the helios folder to /Library/Pd-l2ork and adding that path to the search path preferences, to no avail.

@didipiman What happens if you type this in an object box and try to instantiate it:

/Applications/Pd-l2ork.app/Contents/Resources/app.nw/extra/pd_helios/pd_helios

Also, what's the output if you run this command in a terminal:

file /Applications/Pd-l2ork.app/Contents/Resources/app.nw/extra/pd_helios/pd_helios.pd_darwin

the object won't create

and the output of the terminal is:
/Applications/Pd-l2ork.app/Contents/Resources/app.nw/extra/pd_helios/pd_helios.pd_darwin: cannot open `/Applications/Pd-l2ork.app/Contents/Resources/app.nw/extra/pd_helios/pd_helios.pd_darwin' (No such file or directory)

Oops, try instantiating:

/Applications/Pd-l2ork.app/Contents/Resources/app.nw/extra/pd_helios/helios

Any errors printed to the Pd window?

i don't see anything about a missing symbol printed there...

Also try this in the terminal:
