I've just installed pd vst which I intend to use with Tracktion. The readymade plug in examples seem to open fine in the host application, but I'm unclear about how to generate new pdv files so that i can use my own patches as plug in's. Joseph Sarlo's help page mentions the creation of pdv files but does not provide any step by step account of how they are actually generated from existing pd files. Am I missing something obvious here?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Make a copy of the .pdv file, edit it in a text editor. Just replace the fields you need to and save it as: <name_of_your_patch>.pdv.
It should work...
