my new compilation. if you want to make something, i'd be stoked:
conditions:
-
only use sounds from the internet. any site is ok: youtube, myspace, sample sites, internet radio, flash based drum machines, joke sites.....whatever
-
load up a bunch of webpages, and use their play/pause/mute/refresh functions to mix up your track, in realtime, from the internet.
-
no sequencers, softsynths, etc....unless these are embedded in webpages.
-
the only post-production allowed is volume normalization, and cropping. the idea is to make a realtime hip hop sytle mixup using only the internet.

if you are on mac, you can use wiretap to record the sound (it's shareware, but you can use it for an unlimited time without paying):

can someone tell me what the windows/linux alternatives are?
there is also always the option of just recording to tape or minidisk or whatever too.
