I've just installed Pd-Extended on both WinXP and OS Tiger (non-Intel) under the impression that it included FFTease - but I can't seem to find it in either. Is it still included?

FFTease in Pd-Extended

Not really sure. I take it you're searched the filesystem?

Well I've updated the WinXP registry with pd-settings.reg, but now when I start Pd it complains it can't load the fftease, hid, pdp, pidip or xsample libraries. Where should all these libraries be, anyway? I can't see a folder for FFTease anywhere in Pd's folder. Shouldn't there be one?

Please hold the line, a Windows operator will be along to help you shortly. Meanwhile search the forum and pd-list archives, this is a common problem.

Thanks obi, I suspected as much!

Hello,
you can download the FFTease collection for your PD system from
http://www.sarc.qub.ac.uk/~elyon/LyonSoftware/MaxMSP/FFTease/
Don't know why it's not included in the extended distribution anyway...
Let me know if you have troubes with the installation.
Best,
Alberto

Is the Linux archive on that site for non-powerpc machines only? I've installed the contents into /usr/local/lib/pd/extra and no luck. I tried adding the path to /usr/local/lib/pd/default.pdsettings.

load the library in the same file

This should be the easiest way to use fftease with Pd-extended:
