Dear forum,

I am trying to get the maximum of an audio signal. I use abs~ and max~ where I want to write the output of max~ to a number which again I use as input. I gues I need to convert the signal output of max to float somehow?

@geistgesicht Hello there.... Maybe [pvu~] will help? It is often used to send floats to [vu] for audio metering. It sends peak audio and audio db values.

meanwhile I also found the env~ object that does the job as long as an RMS value is sufficient
