Hello all,

I would like to know your opinion on the following subject: I would like to use a patch which is found on Help Browser/Pure Data/3.audio.examples as a subpatch on a composition of mine. Though it is a relatively simple patch (at least as far as I can tell), I am not sure if I should (or could) use someone else's patch on my composition. The problem is there is no information about the creator of these audio examples, so I don't know whom should I contact!

What is your opinion on this? Should I just go ahead or what? I seriously don't want to get credit for someone else's work, but this would be used only as a subpatch as mentioned; the whole concept, audio manipulation, live performance, etc. will be my own creation.

AFAIK Pd's browser patches are Miller Puckette's and there're there to be used. Don't think that there would be any issues if you use it just like that and say nothing. You could just mention that you're using Pd.

Thank you very much for your reply. If those examples were created by MP himself, then I also don't see a problem in using them. I always mention I am using Pd, so that's no problem at all.
