I just tried the Make app function that comes with the latest version of Pd, but it doesn't work due to the following error:

Has anyone have an idea about that?

I used Han's fix, and got the procedure working, but when my app is open, no window opens other than the main. Anyone else have this problem?

I seemed to have solved this by making the patch an abstraction..
another question came up:
how does one store sound files within a patch, not on hard drive or loading from hard drive on opening of patch? can this be done with arrays?

you can store sound files in arrays by clicking on "save contents" in the array's preferences. however, if you resize an array to become too large, the "save contents" flag will be automatically cancelled. in that case you need to manually set the "save contents" one more time before saving your patch.

also note that pd uses 32 bit floats, so a normal 16bit wav or aiff file will require twice (or is it 4 times?) the amount of hard disk space if stored within a patch.

if you don't need graphical representation of the sound, and want to possibly save memory, then just create

I downloaded the fix, and while it does fix the "no such file" error, it doesn't fix anything else.

Don brown found that making the patch an abstraction will solve the "only the main window opens" problem. But if you make the patch an abstraction, you have to build it from the folder. And if you build it from the folder, you still get the "only the main window opens" problem.

I downloaded the pd.tk file, and it says to replace /Applications/Pd- extended/Contents/Resources/bin/pd.tk with it, except on my computer there is no such place to put that file (there is nothing to replace!). I have no folder containing resources or ANY folder pertaining to Pd. Please help me with this one!

control-click (or right-click) on the application, then 'select show package contents' You are now in the /Contents/ directory
