LED DMX Lighting
can i have some help finding a led dmx light which I can control from pure data? Has anyone used pure data to do this?

@Fauveboy The choice of light is up to you. DMX is DMX. You will need a DMX interface for your computer, probably USB, that can be addressed by Pd through [comport]. If you use vanilla then you will need to get [comport] through Deken.
I use an Enttec DMX Pro to control the led lights at home. I don't know of another interface that has drivers that can be addressed through comport, but they probably exist. My lights are professional stage lights...... so expensive, but the DMX is the same whatever the light.
Here is what I have....... dmx.zip
Let me know if something is missing for the vanilla version as I might not have picked it up.

okay i might go for this usb dongle ? If it works for you? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Enttec-DMX-USB-Pro-Dongle/dp/B00BXLVC5C/ref=sr_1_1?adgrpid=54714809418&hvadid=259059404116&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9045628&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1t1&hvqmt=e&hvrand=13579968977170823871&hvtargid=kwd-299931361842&keywords=enttec+dmx+usb+pro&qid=1556099008&s=gateway&sr=8-1
Im not sure how to confirm that this will work with comport?
Also, it won't necessary to by three DMX dongles because you can connect the lights together using there DMX outputs?
Which pd files is the main I should open with the zip file you sent?
@Fauveboy The main file is "Mine_dmx_home.pd" for extended or "Mine_dmx_home_vanilla.pd".
Yes, you only need one controller, and can link up to 256 devices together.
That is the dongle that I use. I chose it because it has 1000Volt isolation so I hope not to kill my computer if there is a fault in a light.
There are cheaper solutions that should work.
I am thinking of trying an "artnet" device though, as then I could control from my computer or phone over Wi-Fi which would be more convenient.
