Just started using pure data a few months ago. Just learnt about [qlist]

When ever I tried to read a file this message appears in the console window:

qlist:
}: no such object

If anyone has any clues it would be much appreciated.

Haven't really used this object, but a first thing that comes to mind is that maybe [qlist] can't find your text file. The way you show it in the image you posted, your patch and your text file should be in the same directory. That means that you have to save your patch to that directory first, and then try to load the text file. If this doesn't work, try to close and re-open the patch.
Apart from that, I don't see anything wrong there..

Works fine on my mac (10.6) with Pd-0.47-1-64bit.
