I'm running PD extended on Mac OS X 10.4.11
While working on a patch with osc and dac functions and a scaling number I was able to produce sound when first ran, but once I began sliding the number the sound would quit and I would no longer be able to run patch.
When performing test audio and MIDI channels showed that only the first two had any affect out of the eight, I'm curious if this has anything to do with my problem mentioned above, or possibly my operating system.

In the tutorial from the original post, which I was copying, at around the 2:34 part is when all the problems begin and when I switch over to run mode and try to scale to different numbers the audio shuts down and I have to delete the patch all together and start from scratch again.

Would the two output channels have some connection to the problem of when toggling with the number switch in the patch? My concern is why the patch turns completely off when I adjust the number.
