    The Ouptup of: aconnect -io:

    0 'Timer '
    1 'Announce '
    client 72: 'Virtual Raw MIDI 1-0' [type=kernel]
    0 'VirMIDI 1-0 '
    client 73: 'Virtual Raw MIDI 1-1' [type=kernel]

How can I find out what midiindev I have to use?

    Thank you a lot.

    Hi!

Please interrupt me when I'm wrong. ;-)
Normally PD uses OSS Midi. ALSA maps the ALSA mididevices to the OSS devices. It seams that this doesn't really work: If I run:

    pd -listdev

    I get:

    input devices:
    1. OSS device #1
    output devices:
    1. OSS device #1
    API number 2

    no midi input devices found
    no midi output devices found
    Opened Alsa Client 128 in:1 out:1

How do I have to interpret the putput?

    Thanks you so far.
