Hello everyone here, Long time lurker first time poster. You've been a great source of info!

So I'm currently taking a class in sound design and I need to make something for the assignment he's set so I can get my degree, and I'm banging my head against a wall, As you can see in my patch, I have a way of loading in a loop, playing it and repeating, this is show on an array and I'm using a slider as a "Scanner head" behind the array.

But some major problems I'm having:

    1. I have no real way of turning off the loop. If I bang the [t f f] then the loop stops, and if I toggle on the [sel 1] into the [pack] object then the loop starts, but from where I left it off not from the beginning of the loop.

    2. I want to have some fx that will be able to be key triggable, nothing too complex, maybe have a [key] connected to a [sel key number] hooked up to a toggle for that sound. Currently I've got a [freeverb] on the [dac] and it works fine, but I've got no way of controlling how much reverb comes out, I've tried modulating the output of a slider to it but no luck.

    3. And lastly do you know how to do a Ableton style beat repeat? As in go back in the audio buffer? I have been told to use a [phasor] with another one, and I tried but with no luck.

I'd really really appreciate any help anyone could offer.

    Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the confusion, Id been trying to make this work all day and left it late ast night thinking it was tidy. The reason I have multiple start points is to have the abiliy to quickly jump into points within a loop, for example I'm using this with a drum break, so if I have multiple start points I can jump back and repeat say a snare hit. The speed slider was working, at least before I put it in the abstraction. Everything was working as I wanted it, but I know there must be a much more efficient. I tried to replicate the patch within the abstraction, as in connect all the objects to the inlet in the same way as I did when the objects were out of the abstraction. I also tried putting a graph in the abstraction, over sliders I wanted to have in the parent patch and ticked the "graph on parent" box, but again it didn't work properly. I'm pretty new to this, so sorry if I confused you :)

Thank you very much for your help! I'll try and keep anything I put up here as neat as I can from now on :)

I have one more question, how would I tidy up the patch using sub-patches or abstractions, I'd like to have all the objects within a abstraction (or sub-patch) just leaving the bangs, toggles and sliders outside the patch with the array. I've tried putting them in a sub-patch and an abstraction but with no results. The file will load, and the waveform will display on the array but no sound will come out.

I've uploaded the patch with the abstraction so you can see.

    Thank you again!
